Amber Baker graduated Eastern Mennonite Seminary in May 2021 with a Masters in Divinity.  She has a passion for providing spiritual direction to those that have been disillusioned by the church and/or other organized religions.  She desires to lead a church that welcomes and affirms all of those that reside on the margins, especially the LGBTQ+ community.  She also embraces female empowerment and hopes to be a role model for those that identify as female in the church so they too can live out their dreams of leading God’s people to seek justice and mercy for all.

Amber lives with her husband Rick and son Sawyer in Morgantown.  Her husband is an engineer and her son is 13 and finding his way.  Both her husband and son are loving and compassionate, supporting Amber’s passion of guiding people on their individual spiritual journey to liberation.

Doug Gaither is currently the principal of Suncrest Elementary School in Morgantown, WV.  Doug moved to Morgantown about 4 years ago from the Washington D.C. area.  He has enjoyed working with church choirs since he was a teenager and continues to do so at Cheat Lake UMC.  He plays the piano each Sunday at church and designs our sets on stage.  He is excited that Cheat Lake UMC overwhelmingly voted to become a Reconciling Ministry Church, joining a network of churches who believe that EVERYONE is welcome and supports the LGBTQ+ communities in the Morgantown area.
