Where EVERYONE is welcome means

We're Glad You're Here

Cheat Lake United Methodist Church is welcoming to EVERYONE. We embrace our differences while sharing God's love, through Jesus Christ, with one another and we provide compassion to those in need and inclusion to the forgotten and oppressed.

Cheat Lake UMC is on an exciting adventure of becoming a church plant where the sky's the limit when it comes to defining what Church should look like. We would love to invite you on this journey of discovering how CLUMC can be a loving, accepting, and safe space for the community of Cheat Lake and beyond. If you’d like to learn more about this endeavor, please feel free to contact Pastor Amber for a conversation. We want to be a transparent and authentic church for its people and those in the world around us.

We are a reconciling ministry

We celebrate God’s gift of diversity and value the wholeness made possible in community equally shared and shepherded by all. We welcome and affirm people of every gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation, who are also of every age, race, ethnicity, physical and mental ability, level of education, and family structure, and of every economic, immigration, marital, and social status, and so much more. We acknowledge that we live in a world of profound social, economic, and political inequities. As followers of Jesus, we commit ourselves to the pursuit of justice and pledge to stand in solidarity with all who are marginalized and oppressed.
